Global Go Team is the international arm of Heart of the Ozarks a 501 (c)(3) charity based in the U.S. It focuses on giving developing nations the tools to succeed through training, physical development and humanitarian aid. It utilizes volunteer professionals from a myriad of backgrounds who take on start up projects and support existing projects all over the world. It focuses on orphanages, schools, conservation projects and specialized assignments in some of the world's most extreme environments. Our aim is to save lives. As lives are saved we can fulfill our mandate of seeing the souls of who we reach touched by God. Jesus always fed the hungry or healed the seek before he ever shared with them. In this way our charity takes responsibility for changing the way people live for the better, before we ever share any message of hope. Global Go Team is presently working in Haiti, Guyana, Brazil and Lebanon. In 2012 it will begin working in South Africa and Suriname. |
The Global Go Team is cosponsoring a bible college in Lebanon to train new Muslim converts. Before the civil war in Lebanon the Christian population was 52% in 1960. Today that number has dropped to 32%. Lebanon’s government divides the nation’s rule between Christians and Muslims. Its land is even zoned for either religion. A great deal of openness exists in Lebanon. A tolerance has grown that has come at a great price. Yet the country continues to shift towards radical Muslim schools of thought. There is a timely need for Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant churches to work together to encourage those Christians remaining and to take a proactive role in protecting the heritage of Lebanon by remembering the great commission of Jesus Christ and sharing their faith with others. A biblical studies institution is desperately needed, and especially an institution that is geared towards those who have recently been converted from Islam.
